SuperSat Tank & Powder Fill Guidelines

HPH PLUS is our newest formulation of Alkaline Powder for use with the Blendco SuperSat tank. With improved performance, higher titrations, and reduced strain on the system, it sets a new benchmark.

It is important to note this new formulation comes with updated guidelines for operators, see below. This information will assist you in ensuring the powder is filled and maintained correctly for optimum results and superior cleaning in your carwash bays.

HPH PLUS Powder can be run at a low level in the tank with no need to have more than a few inches in the bottom. Our recommended maximum fill level is just above the Add Powder line.

Always wait until the powder level drops below the “add powder” sticker before adding any powder. It is best to have the powder level no higher than 5 cm or so above this sticker.

Handy Hint: Instead of focusing on how high the powder level should be, think about how low you can let it drop. Allow the powder to reach at least the Add Powder line before topping up, and then add only one box at a time.

How to empty bags into your SuperSat tank

  1. Ensure you are wearing correct PPE – refer to SDS
  2. Turn the bag upside-down then shake and tap the bag so contents fall to the bottom
  3. Using sharp scissors or Stanley knife, cut the bottom seam off the bag
  4. Holding the opening open end with one hand and the handle with the other, gently lower the open end of the bag into the solution
  5. While the open end remains immersed in the solution let the powder drop from the bag until empty

When checking levels:

  • If the tank light is working but you cannot see a distinct line between the powder and the light, you likely do not need to add powder.
  • Never add more than one box of powder at one time
  • Leave at least 6 hours between adding powder. If the powder in the tank is very low, you may add a second box only if you can clearly see the powder settle line of the first box.

Avoid using sticks or tools to measure powder depth. These only show where the packed powder has settled, and do not account for powder still in suspension. An overfilled tank may still have powder in suspension even if the packed level appears low. Always rely on the visible powder line as your guide.

⚠️ Do not stir the powder manually this can disrupt the balance of ingredients.

Note: A hard crust may form at the bottom of the SuperSat unit. This is normal, and the powder will still dissolve and titrate correctly.

We encourage you to please contact DuBois or your local distributor for guidance if you’re ever in doubt. We’re also happy to arrange a site visit to explain the SuperSat tank process to you and your team.

Examples of units filled correctly: You can clearly see the powder level.

Image 2: when checked with a stick has about 5” of powder cake on the bottom, however, so much extra powder has been added that it has not settled and is holding up in suspension.
