The Car Wash Show 2019

Nashville, TENNESSEE - The Car Wash Show™ 2019, hosted by the International Carwash Association (ICA) visited Nashville Tennessee, May 13-15 and proved to be one of the association’s largest shows yet. “This show is the largest in exhibitor size and attendance in ICA history.”

It seems every year The Car Wash Show grows and this year was no different with 400+ exhibitors spread out over a 160,000+ square foot trade show floor (the largest in The Car Wash Show tradeshow history) with more than 9,500 attendees representing car care locations around the globe.

This year saw a redesigned program launched that provided attendees with expanded educational offerings. The Premium Pass offered exclusive content and enabled attendees to experience a higher level and larger breadth of educational content. This is in addition to valuable business workshops that are a standard offering with a basic show pass.

In addition to ‘Basic and Premium passes, The Car Wash Show introduced an all-new Member Experience, designed to provide attendees of any pass type with more opportunities to engage with peers to learn and draw from each other’s experiences through the new Peer Power Hours, which provide a source for solutions from peers on a range of topics selected by fellow members.‘

This year Prowash was represented at the show by; CEO - Scott Bristow and Business Development Manager - Danny Taouk. Both Scott and Danny enjoyed the change of pace that Nashville offered and noted that they saw plenty of apps and cashless payment equipment options emerging. The US economy is looking strong and the Prowash suppliers that we spoke to are happy with how busy they are amongst the apparent carwash boom. It’s great to see what’s happening in the US market and we feel satisfied and confident that all advancements in equipment, technology and chemicals are well represented in Australia. Our industry is very small by comparison so it’s pleasing to know we’re keeping up!

The talk of the show appeared to be the continued growth of the tunnel wash industry in the US. We are yet to see the tunnel industry take off in Australia as our land costs are significantly higher by comparison. Simply put, we are unable to replicate the business model and ROI due to higher land costs.

It was great to see Tim and the crew from Tru Blu Dogwash represented as an exhibitor at the show. We love seeing the well loved Australian dogwash equipment embraced by the US market and hope Tru Blu had a successful show.

It’s always great to see familiar faces at The Car Wash Show the presence of Aussies grows with each year that passes. Honky Tonk Central was the meeting place for 60+ ACWA members (both suppliers and operators), who gathered together on the Sunday prior to the show. ACWA Business Manager Doug Cross was amongst the attendees along with ACWA President Neil Fox.

If you haven’t attended a show yet be sure to mark the dates for The Car Wash Show™ 2020, which will take place from April 6-8 in San Antonio, TEXAS. We hope to see you there!
