Biggest Morning Tea 2019

Our 2019 Footy themed Biggest Morning Tea held at Prowash on Thursday 23rd May was a great success. Our event raised over $800 and we all enjoyed coming together to share a special morning tea. The focus is to assist in raising money for the Cancer Council, however it means a lot more to the Prowash team. The event is organised by Lil (our amazing receptionist) with the assistance of other team members. Apart from choosing the theme Lil also runs a MasterChef style baking competition, a 'guess the baby' photo board and decorates our kitchen and arranges prizes from local companies. You'll see from the photos below that all footy codes were covered.

The winners of all event competition's were:

• MasterChef – Savoury Dish winner – Grace (Vol Au Vent)
• MasterChef – Sweet Dish winners – Mark ‘New York Cheesecake’ and Jilly’s ‘Carrot Cake’
• Guess The Baby Competition – Jo
• Best Dressed – Kellie

When asked for their thoughts, here is what some of the Prowash team say about the event:

• We all lead busy lives and can become preoccupied with our own interests. There are bigger things happening in the world and as a team it’s rewarding to know we can play a part in something as simple as a fundraiser
• I always donate and cook for the event and feel that is my way of contributing
• It really brings a positive vibe to the place and all the conversations involved in bringing it together show how important it is to all staff
• We can get all focused day in and day out on our jobs and it’s great to sometimes take a timeout for a good cause and have a bit of fun in the process.
