Good Bye Nev

Nev started at Prowash way back in 2005 as an on-road service technician. This was during the time that Prowash manufactured, installed and serviced our iWash and iVac range of self serve carwash equipment, along with being the sole Australian distributor for PDQ LaserWash. It was an extremely busy time for the service team; being dispatched to car wash sites nationwide for preventative maintenance, installing new equipment and attending to urgent breakdowns on the ground and over the phone. It was during this time Nev got a crash course and learnt everything he could about self serve and touchfree automatic carwashes and during this time we saw him excel.

With a diverse amount of skill, experience and knowledge behind him and a desire to be home more often than not, we saw a need for a full time 'phone support' technician and Nev happily filled the position in 2012. During this time our dedicated install crew were no longer setting up new sites and we pulled in tightly on our preventative maintenance servicing around the country. It was here our newly appointed equipment distributors took on servicing all new sites and allowed us to focus more on manufacturing and the wholesale side of the business.

Soon after Nev's appointment we learnt that full time phone support for one dedicated employee is no mean feat as it is inherently overwhelming with a large number of challenging requests requiring high level troubleshooting and parts interpretation skills. It has always been important for Prowash to provide this service and Nev assisted us greatly in bringing this to the industry. Nev also assisted our customers with ordering to ensure correct spare parts were despatched and gave his time to repair and build smaller spare parts in-house.

Neville’s departure is a huge loss to the industry and to Prowash. He has taken with him many years of knowledge and key troubleshooting methods. Over the coming months please be patient with us as we review our business offering. We will be looking into ways we can provide a high level of service to ensure your site is kept open and cleaning vehicles. During the busy Christmas period we recommend you contact your local distributor, local electrician or a service technician in your area for phone support and breakdown servicing.
