The flagships of Prowash Australia’s leading-edge car wash
products are the PDQ LaserWash® 4000 Touchfree Automatic car wash,
and the newly-released LaserWash® M5 and MaxAir Dryer™.
Located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, PDQ Manufacturing, Inc. has defined the
car wash industry with frictionless technology. PDQ has been an
operator-driven company since its inception. Its founder, William
"Red" Lewis, began as an operator in 1967 and, never
satisfied with the wash equipment of the times, eventually designed
and built his own versions of the components. In 1984, he
formed Carefree Vehicle Wash Equipment, teaming with touch-free
pioneer Forrest Burton to produce the legendary Burton Follower®
Arch - the first robotic arch to closely follow the contours and
shape of any vehicle.
By 1985, they developed a complete line of touch-free car wash
equipment under the name of Carefree. Shortly thereafter, Red
expanded this manufacturing business and introduced the LaserWash®
product line. At around this time, Carefree changed its company
name to PDQ, reflecting the company’s highest standards in
Performance, Dependability, and Quality.
Today, PDQ brands include LaserWash® In-Bay Automatics, MaxAir™
Dryers, Access® Customer Management Systems, and SpectraWash®
Conveyorized Tunnel Systems. The redevelopment of the
Laserwash® 4000 in 2005 has precipitated the creation of the
Laserwash® M5 which, with its sleek design and advanced wash
technology, is sure to set the pace in Automatic Touchfree washing
in Australia.
Both the Laserwash® 4000 & M5 are sold with an Anztec Entry
System, which allows customers to insert notes, coins and/or tokens
and select the desired wash from a wash menu - typically 2 or 3
wash options, eg. Express, Deluxe and Ultimate. Customers can also
receive a receipt for tax purposes, which is an encouragement for
business.
